I guess what confuses me is that this sentence refers to a specific device. 12:20 Apr 29, 2005
This given device, of specific type and model, should not be used outdoors. So far so good. Then why is the sentence further qualified with "sofern"? How can a given something, of given specifications, "not be allowed to be used in an X way unless it is specifically designed to be used in this X way"? The logical structure makes no sense to me... :((( Have you ever encountered sentences like this in user manuals? Vielen, vielen Dank! |
