German term or phrase: Gegenbestaetigungen
From a general terms and conditions description for a company.
The text begins with a description of how the customer, in receiving a product, agrees to the terms and conditions. Then:

Gegenbestaetigungen des Käufers unter Hinweis auf seine Geschäfts- bzw. Einkaufsbedingungen wird hiermit ausdrücklich widersprochen.

I am not sure what is being said here, mostly because I don't know how to translate "Gegenbestaetigungen"

English translation:means purchaser cannot impose his own terms and conditions
Explanation:
Romain translates term literally as counter-confirmation. Gist is that firm has stated its terms and conditions and the customer can therefore not impose its own business or purchasing terms and conditions by any confirmation to the contrary.

neutral  Nick Somers (X): Agree with gist but don't know what you mean by "any confirmation to the contrary" and have therefore entered what I think is a clearer explanation//Agree (confirm) something to the contrary is a contradiction in terms!

contrary terms and conditions

Explanation:
Hello! I think you could simplify it to something like:

"Purchaser may not impose any contrary terms and conditions of sale or purchase."

neutral  Nick Somers (X): I think we're all agreed on the meaning and I'm sure that's a neater (the neatest so far) way of saying it, but where's the Bestätigung? Also "contrary" does not include "seine". In a text like this I think we need to reflect these in the translation. :-)

Confirmation (or acknowledgement) by the buyer ...

Explanation:
... with reference to its own business and purchasing terms (conditions) shall be expressly disallowed.

That's what it says, more or less. I suppose it's confirmation of receipt of the product.
