lepidic [growth pattern]
Explanation:
Lepidic - tumour grows long the alveolar wall; means scaly covering.[7]
https://librepathology.org/wiki/Adenocarcinoma_of_the_lung

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/304609119_Grading_v...
Lepidic pattern is defined as a tumor composed of neoplastic cells lining the alveolar lining with no architectural disruption/complexity, and no lymphovascular and/or pleural invasion
• Acinar pattern is characterized by glandular formation
• Papillary pattern displays true fibrovascular cores lined by tumor cells replacing the alveolar lining
o Psammoma bodies may be present (Am J Surg Pathol 1997;21:43, Proc Am Thorac Soc 2011;8:381)
• Micropapillary is composed of ill-defined projection/tufting with no fibrovascular cores
• Solid pattern is defined as solid sheets and nests of tumor

wallpaper-like spread

Explanation:
I found it here, but am aware that it seems to be a translation from the German.

sheet-like growth pattern

Explanation:
... I have seen in the past.

There also seem to be quite a few references which point in this direction:

Tumors: Using morphologic criteria, TN tumors could be classified into 3 groups-tumor with sheet-like growth pattern (n=15; 47%, Figure 4); ductal NST (n=13; 40%, Figure 5); and apocrine carcinomas (n=4; 3%). These included 2 tumors that showed spindle cell metaplastic features. The classic morphologic features of "basal-like" breast carcinoma described in the literature [5] were predominantly seen in tumors with sheet-like growth pattern (SLGP).

Slide 7: Myoepithelial carcinoma composed of clear cells in a sheet-like pattern of growth.
https://www.cancernetwork.com/slideshows/slide-show-salivary...

This is a relatively uncommon variant of ductal carcinoma with
a favorable prognosis, accounting for 5% o 7% of all breast cancers. Histologically it has a well circumscribed “pushing” margin with
dense continuous cuff of lymphocytes and plasma cells. The neoplasm has
a syncytial sheet-like growth pattern(>75%) with grade 3 nuclei, ill-defined cytoplasm and minimal fibrosis within the lesion.

growth/spread in a lining of layers

Explanation:
The reference to 'Tapete' seems to indicate that the growth/spread occurs in layers, or at least one layer as when covering a wall with a wall-paper.
Der bronchioloalveoläre Typ wächst in der Regel diffus mit einer

**tapetenartigen Überkleidung** der Alveolarsepten

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=aAgmBgAAQBAJ&pg=PA285&lp...

Given this finding, we have examined additional cases of comedo DCIS for the presence of a myoepithelial **cell layer* to understand the frequency of invasive ductal carcinoma among cases that are morphologically consistent with high grade DCIS.
High-grade DCIS, in particular, has been associated with the breakdown of the myoepithelial **cell layer** and basement membrane surrounding the ductal lumen.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5009386/

Histologically, this subtype is characterized by enlarged ducts filled with necrotic debris surrounded by zero to a few layers of highly atypical epithelial cells and numerous mitotic figures.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3894794/

DCIS are lined by a *layer of semi-continuous myoepithelial cells** and surrounded by an intact basement membrane(Lopez-Garcia et al., 2010)

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S157478911...

The benign pneumocytes are smaller than the carcinoma cells and are **arranges in linear rows** along the alveolar septa.

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=CKdFDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA58&lpg...

Metastases from an adenocarcinoma may spread into the lung along the intact alveolar walls (lepidic growth) in a fashion similar to a bronchioloalveolar carcinoma

https://pubs.rsna.org/doi/full/10.1148/rg.245035062

Necrosis with cellular debris is a common finding in small and large foci. Architecturally, HG-DCIS is variable but is more frequently solid, although a **single layer** of highly atypical cells is sufficient to diagnose HG-DCIS.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3894794/

Epithelial myoepithelial carcinoma, with a biphasic pattern of ducts lined with inner and **outer layers** of epithelial and myoepithelial cells, may contain prominent foci of clear myoepithelial cells without the inner ductal layer.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/medicine-and-dentistry/...

Microscopically, it is characterized by the proliferation of angulated, oval, or elongated tubules with haphazard arrangement and has open lumina **lined by a single layer of epithelium without supporting the outer layer of myoepithelial cell** and basement membrane, with multifocal invasion of the stroma and fat at the periphery of the tumor

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4689326/
In pure EPC, higher-power examination shows that the cavity is **lined with a layer of luminal cells** of either one cell in thickness or showing focal architectural complexity with formation of Roman arches, and cribriform structures. The peripheral border is mostly smooth but is focally interrupted by the stromal cores that extend from the capsule into the central papillary nodule.9
