This appears on a set of regulations for recognition of dental practitioners.

The section in which it appears demands that candidates in the preliminary exam in dentistry (zahnärztliche Vorprüfung) must be able to prove that they have attended at least two lectures in "Pharmakologie (einschließlich Rezeptier- kursus)". Can anyone tell me what a "Rezeptierkurs" (which is presume is the same as a "Rezeptier- kursus") consists in, or simply what its title in English.

Specifically, I can't decide if it consists in lessons on how to mix prescriptions or how to administer or issue prescriptions?

"Seinerzeit habe ich in einem speziellen Rezeptierkurs gelernt, Arzneimittel nach meinen Vorgaben in der Apotheke herstellen zu lassen. Auch heute wird noch – zumindest in Grundzügen – im Studienfach Pharmakologie das Rezeptieren gelehrt. Gelegentlich rezeptiere ich spezielle Lösungen zur Behandlung von Warzen, Nasentropfen usw. "
