German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Vaccine Manufacturer's Deviation Report
German term or phrase: Gespann
The word "Gespann" is being used in a very strange and confusing way in a vaccine manufacturer's deviation report about a tube failure that I'm translating. Here are some examples:

The usual dictionary translations of "Gespann" make absolutely no sense here. I did find "bottom plate" in LEO, but I am none too sure about that either. TIA for any light you can shed on this bizarre and mystifying usage of the word.

Explanation:
This is a good one! I am guessing the "Gespann" is referring to an attached side unit of some kind. I could not tell you an English term here but the context seems to indicate reference to a second unit.

Some sort of rig, or rigging unit with the two units put together joined by the hose.

Sorry I ca't be of more help. good luck with this! I'm interested to see what the term really is!
