potting
Explanation:
Elektroverguss

Electrical component casting
When casting electrical components or transformers (potting), it is important that the material discharge is absolutely bubble free. POLYTEC EMC supplies a wide range of mixing head systems ranging from static to roto-static or dynamic mixing. The series DG 103 to DG 108 are particularly suitable to attach the “hand-guided” mixing head to a handling system.

In electronics, potting is a process of filling a complete electronic assembly with a solid or gelatinous compound for resistance to shock and vibration, and for exclusion of moisture and corrosive agents. Thermo-setting plastics or silicone rubber gels are often used. Many sites recommend using silicone or epoxy to protect from impact and loose wires. [1] Araldite (a brand name) potting compound has been suggested for certain automotive applications.

agree  Johannes Gleim: Electrical component casting = Elektroverguss laut Polytec, potting = Vergießen lau LEO. Kein großer Unterschied, aber immerhin.
