I don't assume I'm the only person with knowledge of music - why do you?

I just entered a neutral (!) comment to your answer, I didn't say it was plain wrong, just quite unlikely (although it did turn out to be wrong after all, which I anticipated). I'm sorry if you're annoyed by my efforts to substantiate my opinion when it is challenged - a practice that you don't seem to appreciate very much. I gave my very own personal view of the matter as someone with indeed long-time, first-hand, native language and up-to-date experience as a professional musician (by which in this case I don't mean teaching in music schools, or leading amateur choirs etc.)

Maybe you misunderstood my remark "layman term", by which I certainly did not want to imply that you were a layman. For all I know, you may be far more experienced in music than I am. It's just that in my experience, "Auftritt" is a term that professional musicians rarely use, or only under very special circumstances, while it is far more popular amongst amateurs (which in turn makes your answer unlikely).

If you think this isn't true, we can safely agree to disagree. No ad-hominems or "who's a real pro" arm-wrestling necessary.

Your efforts to educate us are wasted here. The asker led us on a merry dance with an inaccurately classified question and incomplete context. The subject matter here had nothing to do with music, concerts or gigs. In any case, why do you assume that you are the only person around here with knowledge of music?

Ausnahmen ergeben sich im Grenzbereich zum oben erläuterten (musikalischen) Auftritt", zum Beispiel wenn ein Künstler im Rahmen einer größeren Veranstaltung nur ein oder zwei Lieder zum Besten gibt, also nicht den ganzen Abend gestaltet (f).

Ich habe auf die Schnelle keinen Fall finden können, der sich (e) zuordnen lässt (auch wenn es solche ganz sicher gibt).

Liebe Leute,

Ein Auftritt ist zunächst mal ein Begriff aus dem Theater und bezeichnet (a) ganz wörtlich den Akt des Auftretens, des Erscheinens, eines Darstellers auf der Bühne.

Bilcornos "musikalischer Auftritt" ist (b) ein Auftritt im obigen Sinne, der von einer eigens dafür vorgesehenen Musik begleitet wird (Fall b).

Das Wort wird gerne auch in anderen Zusammenhängen verwendet: Einige plakative Beispiele: Großeltern, die den Nachbarn erzählen, ihr Enkelkind habe einen Auftritt mit dem Blockflötenkindern der Musikschule. Auch Mitglieder von Feuerwehrkapellen, Kirchenchören und ähnlichen Laienensembles sprechen gerne von Auftritten, wenn sie vor Publikum musizieren (Fall c).

Diese Verwendung wird dann unbewusst auch gerne von Journalisten in regionalen oder lokalen Zeitungen etc. übernommen (d).

Dass ein professioneller Musiker hingegen von einem Auftritt spricht und damit nicht a) oder b) meint, kommt m.E. eher nicht vor (das wäre dann Fall e). Stattdessen heißt es dann in der Regel von Konzerte (oder im Musiktheater: Vorstellungen), in der sog. U-Musik auch Gigs etc.

Each search will be a separate 'job'. If these documents looking like a ticket or train schedule really were 'orders', then a price would also be quoted. It is reasonable to assume that the invoice for an order - quite possibly consisting of multiple jobs/searches - would be presented separately.

The original classification of this question may have been a red herring. The document ("looks like a ticket or train schedule") is probably a Beleg from Argus Media GmbH showing the results of their search for the newspaper clippings which you are looking at. Therefore not particular relevant to the subject matter you are dealing with.

Johannas Hinweis scheint mir sehr wahrscheinlich: Vermutlich handelt es sich um eine Art Veröffentlichungsbeleg, der angibt, in welchen Zeitungen (mit welchen Auflagen) ein bestimmter Artikel bzw. eine Anzeige erschienen ist.

Letztlich nur mit mehr Kontext zu ermitteln: Sind die Einträge in der Liste wirklich nur Orte, oder Namen von Zeitungen?

in this case, I would think AUFTNR refers to the contract number, as the second term is "concert/performance date". The musicians on tour have contracts with each venue determining the time, date and circumstances surrounding each gig.
