German term or phrase: allgemeine Belastung
This is a statistical evaluation of a clinical trial of a certain assessment method for determining patients' skills in various domains, such as social competence and stress management. It uses both interviews and questionnaires. In the following passage, I can't tell whether the "allgemeine Belastung" refers to "generalized stress" (which has not been an issue so far in the article, and this is about half-way through a 4,000-word article), or to a statistical concept of "loading."

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I eventually decided that this made sense, and no statistician came forward to say it should be "load." Thanks for "weighing in."
