sieben Fertigkeiten (Problemlösen, soziale Kompetenz, Stressbewältigung, Emotionsregulation, Entspannungsfähigkeit, Selbstwirksamkeit und Selbstwert) in ***vier Lebensbereichen***: Hauptbezugspersonen, weiteres soziales Umfeld, Beruf, selbständige Lebensführung.

I had put "areas of life," but that doesn't seem right. It seems like the four areas are mixing applies and oranges (people, social environment, profession, independent living). What about "four lifestyles"? Does that convey the idea?

In this case "Bereich" clearly does nto refer to anything physical such as living space or geographical location, but rather to a concept. "Area" in this sense is like "Bereich" in that it can refer to both. I like your initial idea.

I was looking for something that encompassed "Personen" as well as the other things, and I still don't think "areas" really makes it. But since nobody, including me, has thought of anything, I am going with this. Perhaps there is no such word. Thanks to all.
