German to English translations [PRO]
Social Sciences - Psychology / training of children with chronic abdominal pain
German term or phrase: materialgeleitet
Comics, Interviewspiel, Gruppenarbeit).

It's clear what is meant, but how do you say this in English? It seems to be a Montessori-type approach, but that's all I've been able to discover.

Explanation:
Or materials-based.
You haven't said what the training is, but presumably it uses things like toys as teaching aids. It looks like a coinage, as it gets very few Google hits as a single word.

Thanks for explaining the context, and sorry that ProZ has truncated my reference, but my answer is still relevant.

Thanks! I don't find anything for "materials-led" learning, but plenty for "materials-based."

Notes to answerer
Asker: Sorry for not answering, but for some reason the Proz site is not allowing me to post a discussion entry. They are teaching the kids how to cope with their chronic pain, using some cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques.

Asker: I get lots of Google hits: http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=materialgeleitet%20-dict.cc#hl=de&sclient=psy-ab&q=materialgeleitet+-%22material+geleitet%22&oq=materialgeleitet+-%22material+geleitet%22&gs_l=serp.3...6475.12336.0.12592.26.26.0.0.0.0.132.2205.20j6.26.0...0.0...1c.1.17.psy-ab.FAmPDRz5j-A&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&fp=d501d7ded3bffdd0&biw=1269&bih=854 Your link doesn't work, but I found the article. It refers to long-distance learning, which is not relevant here, since this is psychotherapy (actually, a clinical trial of psychotherapy).

The “material” mentioned here is listed in a table and includes a video clip, work sheets, comics.
