German term or phrase: Biografieunabhängige
Nicht zuletzt die evolutionspsychologische Ästhetik legt jedoch auch angeborene ästhetische Selektions- und Deutungspräferenzen nahe, die als kultur- und biografieunabhängige Deutungskonstanten gattungsspezifische Überlebensvorteile verstetigen.

What I did so far (again, rough and not finished):

Last but not least, the aesthetics of evolutionary psychology suggest innate preferences of aesthetic selection and interpretation however, which perpetuate genre-specific survival advantages as culture and (biographieunabhaengige) constants of interpretation.

The obvious is "biography" but I am thinking more along the lines of "life" - life, lifestyle, living etc

English translation:My suggestion
Explanation:
You have to paraphrase, and you can't translate every word. In particular, you can't reproduce the repetition of "Ästhetik/ästhetische" and "Deutung". I suggest something like:

Nicht zuletzt die evolutionspsychologische Ästhetik legt jedoch auch angeborene ästhetische Selektions- und Deutungspräferenzen nahe, die als kultur- und biografieunabhängige Deutungskonstanten gattungsspezifische Überlebensvorteile verstetigen.

However, evolutionary psychology also imposes innate aesthetic preferences when it comes to selecting meanings. These constants exist regardless of cultural background and life history, and offer specific benefits in terms of species survival.

(Gattung is species.)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Phil. Yes you are right. When I do not understand something I translate it word for word first, and then I rearrange the sentence when I have "unlocked" it.

agree  Anne Schulz: "cultural and biographical background" would be my choice (With regard to philgoddard's 'Biography doesn't do it for me' comment, is it correct to assume that "biographical" has broader connotation than "biography"?)

not affected by culture and lifestyle

Explanation:
I would phrase it "constants of interpretation that are. not affected by culture and lifestyle."

devoid of (cultural and) biographical context

Explanation:
And it’s not least evolutionary aesthetics that also puts forward innate aesthetic preferences in constructing and selecting meaning. As interpretative constants, devoid of cultural and biographical context, they perpetuate advantages that are beneficial to the survival of the species.
