loose goods table Explanation: it's a term a company uses for Germ. "Schlagertisch" in its homepage translation -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2007-06-17 08:11:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- at our local Interspar market they do so! for those who are waiting in the queue at the cash register they often have those "loose goods tables" where (amongst other things) small bouquets are offered in a pot with water. for obvious reasons flowers probably sell best close to the cash register Reference: http://wanzl.mg-l.com/default.asp?navid=551599&oid=000&lid=E... |

(promotional) sales table Explanation: Personal experience. Right after I came to the US I worked as an in-house graphic designer at a retail chain. We called those tables with marked-down goods or stuff that was on sale the "sales tables". |
