German term or phrase: Reformartikeln
This is from a Swiss German text about a pharmacy/drugstore company: "Die Firma ist der zweitgrösste Vertreiber von Medikamenten, Parfümerie- und Reformartikeln."

It has been used here to translate "health foods": http://www.dslondon.org.uk/eltern/Friends/welcome_friends.pd...
This seems a bit narrow - I wondered if it might be something more along the lines of "health products". Please could someone explain what they understand by this term.

health products
Explanation:
Your initial thought is closest. Reformartikeln include teas, so not strictly health "foods". Two Swiss references below.

disagree  Steffen Walter: "Bio" is not used in English.

neutral  Colin Rowe: I believe it also includes things like (overpriced) vitamin tablets, fish oil capsules, etc. (certainly in our local "Reformhaus"), not necessarily all "bio" - organic (albeit predominantly so)

agree  Colin Rowe: Would certainly fit the description of our local "Reformhaus", though I believe they also have some inedible products, such as soap, moisturizer, organic cotton socks, etc.
