German term or phrase: Einlage(r)
Context is a 1945 war diary. Diarist is at Schiewenhorst (now Swibno, Poland) on the Vistula/Weichsel river at the Weichseldurchstich. Entry says "Wir machen ... Lagerdienst, Aufräumen des abgegangenen Drecks, Bunker bauen, **Einlage** im Hafen usw." I found *Einlager* at http://www.danzig.de/danz_3b1.php4/, which talks about the exact spot where the diarist was. But I could not determine the meaning of Einlage(r) in this context. Any suggestions?
