German to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Textiles / Clothing / Fashion

Notes to answerer
Asker: Doesn't fieldwork mean "Feldforschung"? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_work) I am not sure if this term is appropriate for the kind of research the institute does. Thank you very much! Katja

Asker: Fieldwork is mostly used in the fields of natural and social sciences. The institute works in the field of process optimisation and product innovation (flooring industry). xxx Katja

Notes to answerer
Asker: Dear Nicole, I've also thought about this. But the institute does not work in the field of fundamental research (Grundlagenforschung). The research activities concentrate on the field of floor coverigns. Thank you very much for your answer. xxx Katja

Asker: How would you translate "full-scale research" into German? Umfassende Forschung? Thank you for your help! Katja

agree  Kim Metzger: This is an excellent way to go. Now we need something apter than fundamental./Maybe something along the lines of 'full-scale'

-> Kim, "full-scale" is excellent! Thanks!

agree  Nicola Wood: Also think this is the best option, especially with Kim's full-scale or other words beginning with f like first rate

agree  oa_xxx (X): not sure what f-word ;-) I'd use but good ideas!
