warping creel Explanation: More or less a literal translation of warping creel. Kett (warp) + Gatter (creel) The website below translates creel as gatter for various pieces of equipment ancillary to a weaving loom. Just switch from EN to DE at the top left. though the actual expression Kettgatter is mentioned virtually nowhere on the web, except as chain fences. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-12-05 22:25:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This seems to indicate that we are quite close: - Creelboy - Aufsteckhilfe zum Bestücken von farbigen Ketten Source: http://www.karlmayer.com/internet/de/textilmaschinen/340.jsp -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-12-05 22:27:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- BTW: Warping creel turns up very often on the Web and looks exactly like the "Gatter" examples shown on German language websites.
