English translation: therapeutic (recuperative) spa vacation

German term or phrase: "Medical Wellness Urlaub"
This is basically a spa holiday but also includes medical treatments for specific ailments

It seemed that the term "Medical wellness holiday" has not seeped into UK English yet (thank goodness!).
"Medical spa holiday"? Or perhaps someone has a better suggestion....

agree  jccantrell: I might get away from 'vacation' just because it sounds like fun. I might suggest 'leave' or 'furlough' as this has a more, ahem, medical sound to it. --XX-- Not so much here in the USA. You take a leave of absence and to save $, people are furloughed.

Health spa vs. medical spa?

As requested by Lesley! (*blush*)

Here are a bunch of reviews for a hotel in Spain which seems to market itself as a "Medical spa" but one of the reviewers actual wonders if this is a "translation quirk"!

I'm undecided... I think "medical spa" could work but it doesn't sound quite natural somehow =/ On the other hand I'm not sure that "health spa" says enough...

"Medical spa" does seem to work in the context of the second link though! And as Wendy already pointed out you could (cheekily ;) ) use "healing holidays".
