German term or phrase: aus der zweiten Reihe
I’m translating some job adverts for the hospitality industry. In this one for a head housekeeper, it says: Wir stellen uns eine engagierte Persönlichkeit vor, gerne auch aus der zweiten Reihe, die sich in der Führung unserer Mannschaft verwirklichen möchte.

I can’t quite figure out what it’s getting at with the aus der zweiten Reihe. I’m aware of its idiomatic usage to mean someone from the background/shadows, i.e. at the forefront, but not convinced that could fit. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
