German term or phrase: Intimsphäre
from a list of services provided by a 4-star Hotel, this part referring to massages and body treatments:

Bitte kommen Sie zur Anwendung im Bademantel.

Um Ihre Intimsphäre zu schützen, werden Sie während der Behandlung gut zugedeckt.

so they put towels over the sensitive parts, I just can't think of the right expression.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

privates

Explanation:
Whilst privacy does ring true in an IP (intellectual property) and defamation context, I believe Gangels might have a point when it comes to personal masssages.

Coincidentally, I was coerced last millennium into acting a UK school play with a military theme and ambiguously entitled 'Privates on Parade'.

-> Indeed. But meant to be tongue-in-cheek at this time of year.

disagree  Edith Kelly: not in connection with a hotel // I did not know you were a hotel owner, thought you might be kind of translator, at least you claim to being one.

-> You obviously never stayed at our family hotel in South London//It was my parents who up to 40 years ago ran a Fawlty Towers-type hotel & catering business - I was a co-director. I then drifted into law & lingos. My profile actually states ops. manager.

neutral  Kristina Cosumano (X): "Privates on Parade" - OK. thanks for the late-night laugh!

-> Thanks for appreciating the English humour, even if Edith K.'s Irish wit - unlike my wicked Dubliner friends' - found it too much to 'bare'.
