On distingue l’assurance casco partielle de l’assurance casco complète.

* L’assurance casco partielle couvre les dommages au véhicule dus au vol, à la grêle / tempête, aux forces de la nature, aux bris de glaces, à l’incendie, aux glissements de neige, aux animaux.
* L’assurance casco complète couvre, en plus des risques couverts par l’assurance casco partielle, les dommages dus à une collision. N’assurer que le risque de collision n’est, en règle générale, pas possible.
