La storia è ambientata ai primi del Novecento, la protagonista è un'allieva di una scuola di danza.

Non capisco se per Probenlicht si intendano luci soffuse, diversamente da quelle più potenti che si usano durante lo spettacolo, o se si tratti di luci particolari.

Secondo me potrebbe essere reso in questo modo per rendere la differenza tra la luminosità del palco durante l'esibizione e la scarsa luce durante le prove. Inoltre, a mio parere rende in modo figurato anche la differenza tra la notorietà che da l'esibizione e l'anonimato che contraddistingue le prove.

Explanation:
Secondo me potrebbe essere reso in questo modo per rendere la differenza tra la luminosità del palco durante l'esibizione e la scarsa luce durante le prove. Inoltre, a mio parere rende in modo figurato anche la differenza tra la notorietà che da l'esibizione e l'anonimato che contraddistingue le prove.

Asker: Grazie a entrambi! Non credo però di usare riflettori, visto che siamo ai primi del 900, quindi starei per un generico "a luci basse"
