il vantaggio è che il legno segue delle vie + facilmente controllabili ed è + difficile contrabbandarlo per usi illegali, per esempio legni pregiati abbattuti per un utilizzo dichiarato che vengono poi rivenduti illegalmente dove ci sono delle normative che impongono l'uso di legni meno pregiati ma a ricrescita + veloce = minore impatto ambientale.
