mi serve aiuto per capire il senso del verbo in questione in questo contesto: si tratta di una corrispondenza tra medici svizzeri relativamente a codifica e diagnosi secondo la SwissDRG:

Sie legen uns noch einmal dar, dass der medizinische Hauptaufwand auf der Behandlung der gastroenterologischen Probleme liegt.
Dies kann mit den Unterlagen ****belegt**** werden.
Anhand der Beschreibung im Austrittsbericht vermute ich, dass der stationäre Aufenthalt zur Behandlung der Niereninsuffizienz respektive Einstellung des Flüssigkeitshaushaltes länger dauerte, als die Dauer der Diagnostik und Behandlung der gastrointestinalen Probleme.

Visto che poi l'assunto del primo medico (diagnosi principale: problemi gastroenterici) viene confutato mi sembra che qui anziché "belegt" dovrebbe esserci piuttosto "widerlegt/entkräftet.... oppure si tratta di una forma di discorso indiretto senza congiuntivo (cioè l'intera frase riporta ancora quello che il primo medico sostiene?... "e che ciò possa essere dimostrato dalla documentazione"?)
