anche qui il dubbio nasce dalla scarsa conoscenza della materia. Perdonatemi. Si tratta del rapporto tra la faccia/parte superiore e quella inferiore del booster?

Ecco il contesto:

Verstärkungsfaktor

Abhängig von der gestuften Form eines Boosters wird die Amplitude umgekehrt proportional zum Stirnflächenverhältnis von Ober- zu Unterfläche des Boosters verstärkt. Bei einem Verstärkungsfaktor von 2 ist also die Oberfläche des Boosters doppelt so gross wie die Unterfläche.

... inversamente proporzionale rispetto al rapporto fra piano di testa superiore e piano di testa inferiore del booster.

Stirnfläche sarebbe la superficie frontale, ma nel descrivere dei partiolari (fusioni o altro) ho sempre sentito i tecnici chiamarla "piano frontale o piano di testa".
