Asker: Entendo como uma metáfora que anteriormente, alhures, os tradutores em geral preferiam, acredito que por eufemismo , converter em "imundícies", destarte prejudicando o sentido da imagem que deveria permanecer na lingua de destino. Não admira, pois, que melhor possa ser traduzida por "defecação civil." Grato pela decisiva ajuda.
