Ich fand heraus, dass ventilacao und respiracao unterschiedlich sind und würde von der Beschreibung her eher die respiracao nehmen, bin mir aber nicht sicher.

Kontext gibt es nicht, nur noch mehr Wörter/Ausdrücke in dem Zusammenhang:Sauerstoffflasche aufdrehen, Atmung prüfen, Tubusbeatmung, usw.
