„Sozialistische Einheitspartei Westberlins“ (SEW) war zwar offiziell eine von der DDR finanzierte Westberliner Sektierertruppe, aber eigentlich so etwas wie der Geheimname der sozialistischen Einheitsparteien West-Berlins, SPD und CDU: Die DDR hat nicht nur die verbogen, die in ihr lebten, sondern auch die, die unter dem Diktum des „Antikommunismus“ von ihr lebten. Vor allem aber die SPD: Nie wieder war deren Antikommunismus so militant wie in der Berliner Zeit von Brandt. Und keine Partei hat, angetrieben von einem absurden Abgrenzungswillen, so viele Irrtümer begangen wie die Sozialdemokratie: vom Radikalenerlass Brandts über die hysterische Terrorismusbekämpfung bis hin zur Entstehung der Grünen – gegründet von Helmut Schmidt persönlich durch permanentes Einreden einer doch nie vorhandenen Radikalität.
