I don't fully understand the grammar of the last part of this sentence. Does it mean that the request will transfer the other filters to the processing chain?

Explanation:
It should have been better expressed, but it appears to me it means that the "request is passed on to the process chain with [i.e. which also incorporates] filterChain..." etc., so I think the writer has in fact got their knickers in a twist and made nonsense of it.

It might be advisable to check this interpretation with the customer to make absolutely sure.

Explanation:
an die anderen Filter, die Teil der Verarbeitungskette sind. D.h. er wird weitergeleitet an die Verarbeitungskette, d.h. an die anderen Filter. Filter sind demnach der nächste Prozeßschrift der Verarbeitungskette.

So würde ich das verstehen.
