Greek term or phrase: xenia
it refers to the hospitality. But i want to know how it is applied in teh greek language
gabriel
English translation:hospitality
Explanation:
"xenos" means stranger, and "xenia"
is a synonym for "filoxenia", which means "love of strangers." In Greek culture it is still a strong custom to be hospitable to strangers, so the two words, which might seem opposite, actually are very close.

Φιλοξενία

Explanation:
Xenia (Ξενία) definately applies but it's a rather obsolete form of the word. Its contemporary form is "filoxenia" (φιλοξενία).
