Reference: Specialist/Resident Gynaecologist Reference information: Both terms are used, depending on where they practice. If alone, as a private Consultant in their own surgery, then SPECIALIST If practicing in a Hospital, or a Medical centre, then RESIDENT..... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2012-06-24 17:35:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The 'conflict' in the two terms offered could, yet again, be the difference between the English UK v The American understanding of the terms. As, for example, in the spelling of 'GYN(A)ECOLOGY. Being Greek I would say the English UK spelling is correct to its root. |
