If you copy and paste that into Internet Explorer it should take you to the correct page. (When I tried clicking the orginal ink this morning, it didn't take me to the right page).

In many businesses and industries, managers want and/or expect staff supervisors to be able to account for their supervisory activities so that if the performance of any department falls below standard the managers may be able to determine whether the staff are to blame or whether the fault lies with the supervisor for not having done his job properly.

In such cases, supervisors are required to keep a record of their supervisory activities so that they may “account for them”, if asked to do so, at a later date.

“Accountable supervision” is the term given to the details that the supervisory staff record in such cases.

A good example of “accountable supervision” in Greece is what is now being applied in Tax Offices. The Directors of Tax Offices in Greece will now be required to keep a record of their supervisory activities so that the Hellenic Ministry of Finance may determine whether the Directors are doing everything necessary to ensure that people pay their taxes.
