Γιατί, συνεχίζοντας τη θεωρία του Mosco, η δύναμη της τεχνολογικής ανάπτυξης και των δημογραφικών αλλαγών στην αγορά, είχε ως αποτέλεσμα τη δημιουργία μιας ***νέας τάξης πραγμάτων***, όπου τα μέσα προσφέρουν τόση ποιότητα στα προγράμματά τους, όση αρκεί ώστε να εξασφαλίσουν τα επιθυμητά κέρδη. Παράλληλα όμως, όσο η χρήση του περιεχομένου των μέσων διαδίδεται σε όλο και μεγαλύτερη μερίδα της καθημερινής ζωής του κόσμου, τόσο οι απαιτήσεις αυτών που λαμβάνουν το περιεχόμενο αυξάνονται σχετικά με την ποιότητα και της ενημέρωσης αλλά και της ψυχαγωγίας
