Η έρευνα αυτή ειδωμένη από ιστορική, συγκριτική και κοινωνική σκοπιά στοχεύει να παρουσιάσει μ’ όσο το δυνατόν πιο ξεκάθαρο τρόπο τις συνθήκες εκείνες οι οποίες επικράτησαν από την απαρχή της τηλεόρασης κατά τη διάρκεια δεκαετίας του ’60 έως και την περίοδο που προηγήθηκε της αναθεώρησης του 2001. Κομβικά σημεία στη συγκεκριμένη εξέλιξη αναμφίβολα αποτέλεσαν η πτώση της δικτατορίας και το Σύνταγμα του 1975, η ΥΕΝΕΔ (Υπηρεσία Ενημέρωσης Ενόπλων Δυνάμεων) ως πρώτος τηλεοπτικός σταθμός αλλά και η απορρύθμιση στο ραδιοτηλεοπτικό χώρο στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’80. Οι συνθήκες αυτές, όπως επίσης και τα ιστορικά γεγονότα που προηγήθηκαν θα αποτελέσουν τις βασικότερες θεματικές του πρώτου αυτού μέρους για την πολυφωνία και την αντικειμενικότητα στην τηλεόραση, διαστάσεις τις οποίες θα περιγράψουμε στην συνέχεια της συγκεκριμένης πρότασης.
