range of appeal
Or "breadth of appeal". It's a fairly standard term in TV.

I think the idea is that some programmes are "used" by a wide/varied audience in different ways, and it's difficult to classify a programme as "entertainment" when other sectors of the audience might think of the same programme as "informative".

breadth of usefulness
This is a bit more literal than Spiros' answer. To be honest, I have no idea what either of the two phrases means, but perhaps that doesn't matter.

range of uses
I'm throwing this suggestion into the mix because I have more than once seen "χρησιμότητα" used where "χρήση" is intended. The writer would thus be talking about the use made by audiences of different TV programmes. (That way at least the sentence makes sense to me!)

Epameinondas Soufleros
: Good point, but "χρησιμότητα" is most felicitous in this case.

In Greek, I defer to you, of course. I just can't see that "usefulness" means anything...
