Reference: A deed poll is.... Reference information: In order for somebody to change their name and have their records updated, a form of documentary evidence is required. A Deed Poll document provides such evidence. A Deed Poll is a legal document that binds a single party to a particular course of action. Strictly speaking, it is not a legal contract as it only applies to one party. The most common use of a Deed Poll in the UK is to change a persons' name. This type of deed is more formally called a Deed of Change of Name or sometimes referred to as a Change of Name Deed. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2011-02-02 13:11:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.deedpoll.com/what-is-a-deed-poll.htm |

Reference: Dee poll used fol land partition Reference information: Another common use is to partition land into different sections. For example, a piece of land may be partitioned (or carved out) by a deed poll into Section A and the Remaining Portion thereof. This form of deed poll is commonly used in Hong Kong, where the development and redevelopment of land is rapid and flourishing. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2011-02-02 14:40:21 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- for land partition, sorry Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deed_poll |
