Greek term or phrase: ρεμέτζο
Ρεμέτζο (the spelling varies a bit): I'm aware of various related words for 'mooring rope' etc., but wonder whether anyone has any information on ρεμέτζο as used in the following examples:

From the logbook of a tugboat:
An entry in the same log, a few days earlier, consists of the single word Ρεμέντζο.

From the log of another tugboat engaged in the same operation:

agree  transphy: Mooring. The sides of the Thames are full of moorings, many with boat houses.

anchorage

Explanation:
I agree with what Theodoros says in the discussion, so I think that "anchorage" might be suitable here.

neutral  transphy: Mooring= Anchorage BUT in water-craft 'language' one refers to that as 'Mooring', as they refer to the flag or sails ROPES(ΣΧΟΙΝΙΑ) as 'HALYARDS'. 'Mooring' includes THE LINE(mooring line) AND PLACE a craft is tied in the water secured on land.
