Greek term or phrase: παίζει και το "ditty
Hi,

A rather interesting use of the verb παίζω I'd love to be enlightened about:
-> Και από πού θα μάθει ο κόσμος ότι τα λιανοτράγουδα δεν είναι απλώς τραγουδάκια και ότι υπήρχαν πριν από τον Ρίτσο και τον μεταφραστή του; (Πού πας μωρέ μεσα στη ζέστη;)
agree Nadia Fahmi: Νίκο, παίζει και το "ditty = A short simple song (or the words of a poem intended to be sung)" 1 hr

Many thanks,

Simon

Better late than never!

"Παίζω" here means "is used", "there is".

Νίκο, παίζει και το "ditty".
Translation: Nick, there is also "ditty"/ "ditty" is also used.

My two cents!
