journey time / travel time Explanation: I hesitate to disagree with Nick, but I don't think that distance is the issue here. απόσταση can refer to a separation in time, not only distance, and I think this is what is meant here. As far as I know, English doesn't have a neat word like χρονοαπόσταση that would work in this context, so I suggest something simpler. |

delivery time Explanation: It means the actual time it would take the means of trasnportation (in this case the train) to transport from point a to point B I am certain that this is what it means in this context... |

distance and time Explanation: Or "time and distance" but the former is more accurate. reducing the travel / trip distance and time it takes -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day4 hrs (2009-09-23 17:32:21 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- To make matters worse, you should consider this: Εκείνο όμως που θα αυξηθεί σημαντικότατα θα είναι η χρονοαπόσταση (ο ελάχιστος χρόνος δηλαδή που επιτρέπεται να παρέλθει για τη διέλευση δύο διαδοχικών συρμών). http://news.kathimerini.gr/4dcgi/_w_articles_ell_1_14/08/200... In this case the translation used elsewhere is 'headway'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headway Otherwise, Philip's 'travel time' would do fine. |
