Hebrew term or phrase: קשוי
I translate a catalogue of antique books and silver items, I have a recurring problem that many books refer to small cities or villages. I don't know how to translate them from Hebrew to English. Do you have any suggestions of refrences I can use that will provide me with the English spelling of these words.

Explanation:
For Judaica from present or past European communities, the best database I know would be the JewishGen site (Jewish genealogy). It has a "ShtetlSeeker" with the feature you need: a phonetic search. It is incredible, and apparently lists the name of every remote place in Europe where there were 3 houses in the middle of nowhere, and in one of them lived a Jewish family... :-)))
