Oh, I see. In this context (ultrasound in general) I know of the term hypoechogenic that from what I read is quite similar to sonolucent area. I learned something new.
I would say that the whole sentence is something like:
In the proximal Saphenous Vein - sonolucent areas were demonstrated, and collapsed under the pressure of the transducer. The results of the Doppler indicates normal blood flow in these areas.
I completley agree with you about the nature of some of these texts.

Some of these medical documents sometimes look like they were written by "analfabetim" rather than medical professionals. There are always tons of typos and incomplete sentences, which make it very difficult to translate.
סונולוצנטיים are supposedly sonolucent areas/zones and עוברים probably means "undergo" in this context. So it does look like "undergo collapse" but I couldn't find any supporting information online.
This is a Doppler US of the leg. There isn't much more information that I can provide.

Well. Saphenous Vein is וריד הספנה (as you probably already know).
Collapse under the transducer pressure is תמט בלחץ המתמר in my opinion.
However, I am completely puzzled by סונולוצנטיים ועוברים. Does עוברים mean embryos? (does this even fits the context?), and I never heard the word סונולוצנטיים - maybe it is a color pattern that is identified with the Ultrasound. What kind of Doppler examination is this? Pelvic? Other? Can you maybe provide some more information regarding this terms from other parts of the text.
