Hi,

It's in my Hindi textbook but no explanation is given.

मुझे हिन्दी आती है literally means "Hindi is coming to me", so I think it must be an idiomatic expression.

my dictionary (oxford Hindi English) gives many meanings for आना (infinitive form) including 3. to be acquired (skill, knowledge) with your sentence right after that.
