Hand gesture for invocation of energy Explanation: "Mudra" when literally translated from Sankrit is "gesture" or rather "hand gesture. Now, when it comes to "Praan/PranMudra", The Pran mudra energizes the whole of the body. This mudra helps to increase the Pran Shakti or the "Life force".
