Bizonyos munkakörök betöltéséhez szükséges, van A, B és C típusú. Kifejezetten a magyar nemzetbiztonsági ellenőrzésről van szó.
Az ehhez hasonlót Amerikában köznyelvben csak "background check"-nek hívják, és annak eredményeképpen lehet "security clearance"-t kapni, különböző szinteken.
Nekem a magyar eljárás nevének hivatalos (vagy elfogadott) angol nyelvű változata kellene.
