Hungarian term or phrase: Ügyszám: IRM/PJKNMFO/HAT/6126/2008
At the end of a Hungarian apostille there is

Ügyszám: IRM/PJKNMFO/HAT/6126/2008

Does nobody know whether this is just a reference number or it means something else?

English translation:Case: IRM/PJKNMFO/HAT/6126/2008
Explanation:
IRM stands for Igazságügyi és Rendvédelmi Minisztérium (roughly: Department of Justice and Internal Affairs), PJKNMFO should denote a department (főosztály), while HAT may stand for hatósági, referrint to the official nature of the document (this one is just a guess), however you should not translate it as the reference and id of the document agains which it can be found is exactly IRM/PJKNMFO/HAT/6126/2008.

agree  Lingua.Franca: Add "Nr." - "Case Nr.:" - And don't change the number, leave it as it is.

-> igen, ez lesz a HAT, a nyelvemen volt pedig :)

agree  juvera: Note: I don't think the asker wants to translate it as such. Tamas: NOT "Nr.", the abbreviation of "number" is "No."

agree  Simon Molnar: It is a reference to a file in the management of the department of the ministry. Doesn't look like patent, more like codification issue. I don't know what HAT stands for, but Hungarian Organizational and operational rules http://irm.gov.hu/?katid=33&i

Case number

Explanation:
I suspect that it refers to the Apostille and has nothing to do with its contents.

Reference number: IRM/...

Explanation:
It looks like a ref. number, and a very complictaed one for that, may indicate some office or ministry ( for example IRM could be Igazságügyi és Rendészeti Minisztérium / Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement - without more about the text it is hard to say where the document comes from....), but in all honesty, I would just leave it as it is.

Oh, sorry, did not pay enough attention, it is for patent/trademark...then it should just be some reference or registration number. Leave it as it is.

Ügyszám
Identification number of an invention or a patent

Explanation:
I think it can easily be a number of a patent or a registration number of an invention at the office where such patents are registered.
