KGX = typo = it should be KGY = közgyógy 100% coverage of prescription (Rx) drugs/medical treatment Explanation: Y and X keys are right beside each other and often they are accidentally switched during typing. The physician wanted to write Y and not X. KGY means közgyógyra felírt gyógyszer/orvosi ellátás. Közgyógy means that the local government pays the full drug/medical treatment and the patient does not have to pay anything. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2013-04-04 09:25:49 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I meant during typing they (X and Y) are often accidentally mixed up. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-04-04 09:48:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Important: This is not the same as prescription exemption, because it has nothing to do with OEP ( National Health Insurance Fund Administration of Hungary). Local governments decide and give the money for these prescribed drugs/medical devices/treatments. EÜ kiemelt/EÜ emelt benefits are given by the OEP but not közgyógy. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-04-04 09:55:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And prescription exemption is paid by the NHS. Also közgyógy is many times provided based on the social environment of the patient, meanwhile prescription exemption is provided based on illness/medical condition types. |
