Erdőrengetegre gondolok. Nem találok ilyen szót az angolban, csak a 'forest', 'woods' stb. szavakat, amelyeknek viszont nincs meg az a kissé rémisztő konnotációja.

"Egy vaddisznót pillantottam meg a sűrű rengetegben."

Olyan szót keresek, amit átvitt értelemben is lehet használni.

"Elveszett a hiedelmek ősi rengetegében."

Aki több mesét olvasott angolul, mint én, hiszem, tud segíteni. :) Köszönöm.

Asker: Great! Yeah, you're right. I was trying to think of a word while imagining a forest of very tall trees, whereas this is also a fitting word - a place where you can easily get lost.

agree  Ildiko Santana: Tudtam én, hogy van valami thick-kel kezdődő, csak nem ugrott be! Ez pompás. Tkp. vminek a sűrűje, de szerintem hangulatában közel áll a rengeteghez. És átvitt értelemben is használható, lásd: "But in the thickets of the law, oh, there I'm a forester." :)

Psychologically, you don't have the feeling of stepping into an impenetrable forest of words, but into a comfortable text.

There are problems with this exhibition...There is so much material that we feel as if we're in danger of becoming overwhelmed in an almost impenetrable forest.

The poem resembles like a truncated autobiography of the trees in a dense forest , giving vent to their feelings.
