lenient policy Explanation: mert ez jutott eszembe http://immigration.about.com/od/immigrationbasics/i/Legaliza... In the absence of any new federal policies, state officials are trying to do what they can to deal the illegal immigrants showing up on their doorsteps. But their good intentions only serve to increase the problems. If states have varying policies on illegal immigrants, a state that starts to enforce its strict policies will force its immigrants to pack up and move to a neighboring state with more lenient policies. http://www.chron.com/CDA/archives/archive.mpl/1986_424172/ca... Canada tires of lenient policy on immigration |

tolerant policy Explanation: As opposed to zero-tolerance or restrictive immigration policy. "In the main they only reflect sentiments which can be seen in a lot of other West European countries - that the time for tolerant immigration policy in their mind is past" http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7880215.stm "an extraordinarily tolerant immigration policy by the United States that places no penalties on employers of illegal aliens" http://digitalcommons.ilr.cornell.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?ar... "This project aims to analyse why seemingly progressive European immigrant societies, such as the Netherlands and the UK have shifted away from so-called ‘liberal’ and ‘tolerant‘ attitudes towards immigrants" http://www.compas.ox.ac.uk/research/urbanchange/changing-ide... "Research has shown that those with a liberal ideology and not born in the United States are more tolerant and accepting of both immigrants and immigration. Using these factors and gender as explanatory variables, ordinal logistic models are used to determine the importance of age for questions of immigration policy preferences. The explanatory variables have the expected effect, and age is shown to have a significant impact on participant preferences as younger respondents are more tolerant toward immigrants and prefer less restrictionist immigration policies." http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1767159 'People whose minds are ready to become means of production' will be fine, and their smartness should be rewarded by a tolerant immigration policy attuned to entrepreneurial acumen, but the rest of the under-exploited biomass will need some tweaking and some tending if they are to get by in the new, integrated global order' http://thelondonparticular.org/items/riseandfall.html |

laissez-faire policy Explanation: Egy másik lehetőség, a szövegtől függően. In other words, Britain would no longer have a problem with race relations if no more coloured immigrants were allowed to further strain the system. Therefore, in 1962, the British government laissez-faire policy toward immigration ended with the passage of the Commonwealth Immigration Act. http://www.slideshare.net/sgummer/british-immigration-policy This report examines the push-and-pull factors of migration in the region from three major migration periods: the mostly laissez faire policies prior to the 1930s, the large-scale Bracero temporary worker program before and after World War II, and the mostly illegal system that emerged after the Bracero Program’s end in 1964. http://www.migrationpolicy.org/regionalstudygroup/research.p... |

liberal policy Explanation: Here's another one you should consider. Google "liberal immigration policy" for parallels. The other examples I see here are also usable. I still maintain that this one "sounds" best to me, and is probably the one I would use. |

Ennek megfelelően az adott mondatot így fordítanám: When regulating immigration permissive legislation was applied. Azt hiszem, hogy ez fejezi ki legjobban és leghűbben a magyart, különösen azért, mert mind a lenient, mind a liberal, mind tolerant közel áll hozzá, de nem ugyanaz. Lásd itt: New Brunswick needs permissive legislation to give our municipal councils modern governance tools. These tools are essential in an age shaped by significant and fast-paced change where our provincial legislature cannot foresee all future local issues. More importantly, the Province cannot effectively prioritize the issues on behalf of the citizens in their own community. Finally, uniform provincial restrictive legislation cannot solve all local problems and should not prevent locally elected councils from resolving pressing local issues.
