In a report on trials of a new pesticide against "tortricidi ricamatori" that attack apple trees. "Tortricidi" are torticidae or tortrix moths but can anyone tell me what the "ricamatori" part means? Many thanks

Lepidotteri Tortricidi, comunemente detti ricamatori a causa della tipica sintomatologia, comprendono diverse farfalle di medie dimensioni (8-30 mm) le cui larve vivono parassitarie sulle piante nutrendosi delle foglie. Su queste compiono delle vere e proprie “ricamature” legando fra loro foglie attigue o ripiegando su sé stesso il lembo della medesima foglia, utilizzando fili sericei che essi producono.
