Italian term or phrase: filo di colmo
I have something called a "placchetta" which I have called "small plate" for now although I don't believe that's correct. In the technical specifications for this "placchetta" it says:
"Ideale per la cucitura della rete sul filo di colmo"
I understand that it has something to do with a device that holds nets over plant enclosures.
So far I have "Ideal for fastening to net seams in enclosures full to the brim."
Any suggestions? Thanks!

English translation:crown/canopy ridge
Explanation:
It suunds like orchard netting. If it is, the "filo di colmo" would be the highest part of the row of trees. Since such netting comes down from the peak in an inverted V and then is seamed together to that for the next row, this may be what you need.
