This is from an article on a late prehistoric lithic complex.

La parte sommitale del Monte Zogo è caratterizzata da Scaglia Variegata Alpina, ovvero dei calcari grigi o giallo-rossatri screziati per probabile bioturbazione, con noduli di selce e disposti a strati poco spessi di solito decimetrici, talora intercalati da formazioni argillose ***della stessa potenza***.

I can't figure out what they mean by "della stessa potenza". Does "occasionally interbedded with clay formations of the same power" make any sense? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
